Illegal Horse Betting Arrests in Singapore and Malaysia

Law enforcement in Singapore and Malaysia have apprehended 16 individuals as part of a joint operation targeting a criminal organization involved in illegal horse betting activities.

The Singapore Police Force’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Special Operations Command executed coordinated raids across multiple locations in Singapore, leading to the arrest of 14 men and one woman.

In Malaysia, the Royal Malaysia Police’s CID arrested one man during a related raid. Additionally, 41 individuals across both countries are under investigation in connection with the case.

Authorities seized cash, bank accounts, and electronic devices, including mobile phones and gambling-related paraphernalia, during the raids.

The investigation is ongoing.

Michigan Regulator Targets Unlicensed Gambling Websites

The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has issued cease-and-desist letters to five online gambling platforms.

BoVegas Casino, BUSR, Cherry Gold Casino, Lucky Legends, and Wager Attack Casino are accused of operating without the necessary licenses, violating state law.

All five websites offer online casino games, while BUSR and Wager Attack Casino also provide sports betting options.

“We will not tolerate unlicensed gambling operations that exploit Michigan residents,” said MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams. “Our top priority is to protect the public by enforcing the law and shutting down these illegal platforms.”
